Inexpensive (Backup) trading accounts

I'm opening a couple more back up accounts with brokers with low minimums so I can take advantage of round-up situations and to give me an alternate place to trade in the event that E*Trade restricts trading on a particular company- which is happening more and more often. I have Scottrade and Lowtrades accounts already as backups. I'm looking at the following though:

1) Tradeking ($500 min, $7.95/trade)
2) Mastertrader ($1000 minimum)
3) Zecco ($2000 minimum, but free trades)

Any other thoughts? I'd open a choicetrade account, but they're not authorized in my state.

tdameritrade. 9.99 a trade, low minimum, first 100 trades free or sumptin.
i have a couple but only play a handfull of roundups a year. its not worth the agrevation for a few bucks most of the time but now and then when i like the owner or structure i grab and hold a free 100 or 2.

i normally stay a way from posted about or heavily bought roundups because of all the bidwhacking over short money.

Bilg, I've heard of Zecco... read about them in BusinessWeek... Have you actually used them? I wouldn't mind free trades haha!

round ups: a company reverse splits, their pps is .04 and they say no one rounded down to less than 100 shares. so you buy 100 shares at .04, with the new share structure price goes up and you can put a few dollars in your pocket sometimes. some people play all of these. with 2 accounts the amount you put in you pocket may be enough to give you 100 free shares in another account, in case the stock ever becomes something.

there was one friday. only problem was i had 10 emails on it so some clown posted it all over.

the funny part was they were telling everyone to buy 500 shares to many. I have less luck with those spammed ones as everyone bidwhacks but I was in the mountains on Friday afternoon and didnt DD the stock.

It was SWNE, it's a pink and I think it's bogus- even though it's on the daily list. I missed it too. I don't think it'll do much, but you never know.

I guess I should've for that one though with ex-date today. I posted one of these and a decent one at idiotstocks one day years ago a lot of people jumped on board and the bank ended up being barely green. had it in 4 accounts tho so I ended up with a pile for free.

havent posted on since. there's been a lot of talk about them lately hopefully it'll die down soon.

Yeah- I didn't post for that reason. It's even worse when they harass the CEO and he gets all pissed off and pulls the Pre-14. Happened to me once.

Still, I can't complain about holding a $10 bag when every so often you can buy for $10 and sell it for $1050 :)

Trade King sucks- they won't let you buy the round-ups....
