BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ClickSoftware Technologies, Ltd. (NasdaqSC: CKSW), the leading provider of workforce and service optimization solutions, today announced a new licensing and service agreement with one of the world's largest energy service providers.
The agreement sets up a framework through which affiliates of the energy provider can purchase ClickSoftware's solutions at agreed upon terms and conditions. The energy service provider has operations in many countries worldwide.
Following an extensive evaluation of several vendors, ClickSoftware's solutions were selected for incorporation into a new mobile business platform which will support a worldwide standardization effort currently being planned by the service provider. As part of the agreement, ClickSoftware is now creating template solutions that will be available to all affiliates of the energy service provider. These solutions will be integrated with several SAP backend systems.
"This win represents a tremendous opportunity for us in the European utilities market," said Dr. Moshe BenBassat, founder and CEO of ClickSoftware. "Inclusion of our solution in the standardization project of such a large company is strong validation of the value that we provide to the utilities industry."
This agreement is not expected to have material impact on ClickSoftware's revenues for the first quarter of 2006. If the energy service provider proceeds to implement ClickSoftware's solutions into its worldwide standardization effort, this could potentially contribute in a material manner to ClickSoftware's future revenues.
